question What are the best states to live in for a 100% disabled veteran?

I'm not in a rush, but I'd like to know which states are the best for someone with a 100% DAV rating to move to.

I'm from Hawaii and still live here, but the benefits for veterans like us aren't great. I'm thinking about moving to a different state to settle down in a few years.

Texas was my home for a little while when I was younger. Thinking about going back, especially because of the veteran benefits, feels like I'm connecting my past with smart decisions for my future.

Hawaii's not too bad for veteran benefits. If you're 100% T&P, you only pay $300 a year for property taxes. They don't tax military pensions or any public pension for state income tax. Most of your VA referrals go to the community for free. And if you're in Oahu, you can use the base commissary and other perks to help with living costs.

Oklahoma's great because living here doesn't cost a fortune. Plus, if you're 100% rated, you get a ton of benefits!
