In my award letter, there's no mention of back pay, just the monthly payment amount. When will I be informed about the back pay?

Due to the amount deposited, I was a little concerned about touching any of the money in fear of an overpayment. Before touching one cent of it, I called in and confirmed what that money was for before I even touched it.
