After submitting my initial claim, I requested the addition of a dependent who came along afterward. How long does it typically take to receive a decision regarding their dependency status?

Some veterans might see it done in days, whereas others could wait for several months.

Took like 6-8 weeks for the first one and around 8 weeks for the next. But cool thing, they backdated the pay to when they were born.

Mine was sorted in about two weeks. Started getting paid the month after.
