I'm a veteran with 100% P&T. Does anyone know if urgent care visits are covered? Also, how can I find out which urgent care facilities that I can go to?

If having an emergency, go to the nearest emergency room. Just remember to call the VA Emergency Line to tell them about your visit as they want you to report it within 72 hours.

Check that the urgent care you go to is on the VA's approved list. Every veteran gets to use urgent care 3 times a year. When you get there, tell the front desk you're using one of your urgent care visits. They should call the VA right away to check if your visit is covered.

This tool will let you see which urgent care facilities you can go to around you.
You can go to urgent care 3 times a year and it's covered.

The urgent care provider can call the VA hotline to check if your visit is covered. If you're 100% P&T, it should be covered no matter what. But you're supposed to call within 72 hours.

There's a toll-free number, and all the urgent care providers know it.
