A VA disability calculator is your best bet, particularly when dealing with bilateral factors, as it complicates the already challenging formula.

I prefer this VA disability calculator since it's great at including bilateral factors for left/right arm/leg, which comes in handy when assisting someone with their rating as that doesn't apply to me.


Plus, it factors in if a veteran has a spouse, kids under 18, dependents aged 18 to 24, if the veteran's other half needs aid and attendance, and whether the veteran is supporting one or two dependent parents.
