What would you do if you went for a C&P exam and the doc straight up told you the job you've been at, you have to quit 'cause it's messing with you and you just can't keep at it? Ughhh...

Easier said than done, but maybe I would listen to my doctor and put my health first?

That happened to me during a regular doctor's visit.

I ended up quitting and getting SSDI later.

As difficult as it may be to lose the job, both emotionally since it might be your source of support and financially because it's how you pay your bills, I would need to listen to the advice and consider changing careers as soon as possible to minimize the temporary financial burden. Life is short, and the quality of your later years could suffer if you continue to overexert yourself now.
