question Should I bother applying for Social Security if I ain't at VA 100% P&T?

I ain't VA 100%, but I'm wondering if it's even sensible to give filing for Social Security a shot. I see vets at full 100% getting denied left and right, so I'm hesitant to spend... like years... on a pursuit that might not be in my favor.

What I've discovered is that Veterans Affairs and the Social Security Administration operate on completely different wavelengths.

It's beneficial to put in applications for both, crossing your fingers in hopes of securing the benefits you've rightfully earned through your service to the country.

One of my major hesitations about applying for SSDI was not realizing they're distinct from the VA. Now that I know there's no job suited for someone as worn out as me, I'm inclined to give an SSDI application a try. I plan to show my newly awarded 90% rating as evidence for my claim, though it's ultimately their call to use it or not.
