Hey everyone, has anyone 100% T & P and got SSDI without hiring a lawyer? Additionally, is the benefit amount different with or without 100% T & P?

Yes, I receive both 100% P&T and SSDI, doing the claims process for both of them by myself.

Just to clarify, having a 100% rating does not affect the amount you receive from SSDI. The payment is determined by your lifetime earnings. So, if you made a low salary during those years, you will receive a lower benefit than someone who had a higher-paying career. To give you an idea of the benefit amount, the average monthly benefit in 2023 was $1,489. However, take this with a grain of salt because it can be lower or it could be higher depending on your unique situation.
