question Can VA docs write nexus letters?

Is it possible for a VA provider to compose a nexus letter for a VA claim a Veteran wants to file, or does it have to be by an external provider?

I asked my psychiatrist for a nexus letter, but she mentioned the VA doesn't allow them to do that. So, she's gonna find another psychiatrist for it.

Yeah, they definitely can. I've had some nexus letters done by VA docs. A lot of them will put up a fight, claiming it's beyond their scope, but that's just nonsense. They're able to if they're really willing.
