We understand that many veterans prefer to keep a low profile and may not wish to share extensive personal details publicly. Consequently, we don't require a comprehensive autobiography for full membership. Our community respects the desire for anonymity among veterans.

To simplify the process of claiming your service affiliation banner—and rank, if desired—we've streamlined the procedure. You can easily update your service affiliation in your account settings, and the change will reflect automatically within 20 minutes. Alternatively, a swift participation in a brief poll will prompt one of our team members to update it on your behalf. Should you choose to showcase your rank as well, a quick response to this thread with your service branch and rank will suffice for both to be updated.

In the Just Veterans Helping Veterans community, identifying your service affiliation fosters a sense of brotherhood and solidarity among members. It also enables peers from the same service branch to support you, especially in times when legislative changes or benefits arise that could be beneficial during your hiatus from the forum as you could be drawn into a new conversation, receiving an email alert.
