question Can a buddy letter for a VA claim be typed instead of handwritten?

For an accompanying buddy letter with your VA claim, is typing it acceptable, or do you need to go with a handwritten version?

Typed or written, doesn't matter as long as you can read it.

My buddy letters were typed up, but I had them physically signed.

Typed mine, but I've heard about and actually seen a VA buddy form. I'd suggest checking it out and using that one.

Below is the form for submitting a buddy letter, but it only offers around 50 lines for typing. You have to be brief on this form, or you'll end up having to type the statement out and attach it separately.
