Hanging in there with my first VA claim, which we all know could really drag out. Don't have an official disability rating yet but I've got a ballpark of what it could be in mind. Is it too early to look into Social Security benefits?

Has anyone actually had luck getting the VA to move forward with their claim without waiting out the whole 30 days? I'm tempted to just go for it and press that button, but it feels like such a set-in-stone process... I dunno, could just be the nerves talking.
